Project Planning and Management

Services
Cirdan Group offers onsite project planning and management subject matter experts to improve or maintain the health of your organization’s IT projects. Our Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Managers can guide you through the PMI’s recommended steps and life cycle phases to achieve a project that is within scope, on time, and on budget. Through proper planning, execution, control, and close down of projects, we demonstrate that good project management skills and techniques improve project outcomes. Cirdan Group clients have retained our Project Managers to supply subject matter expertise to large programs in key areas such as risk and program management. We have experience with a number of development methods, including traditional waterfall approaches as well as Agile and other iterative development frameworks.

Our Project Managers have experience working at the project and portfolio levels, managing large projects, and providing arm chair consulting to fledgling Project Managers. As part of our IV&V services, we frequently supply project management subject matter expertise for Project Managers as part of a general corrective action plan to refactor at-risk projects.

Approach
Cirdan Group Project Managers are PMI-certified Project Management Professionals and are highly conversant and skilled in the tools and techniques of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). As an emerging national standard for Project Managers, PMBOK and its nine domains are our standard for the planning, execution, control, and close down of projects.

For at risk projects we recommend that a formal Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) precede project planning and management services so that we may identify the nature and extent of the project’s problems up front. Cirdan Group then identifies positive and at risk aspects of your project and develops appropriate recommendations for getting your project on track. Following our assessment, we develop and execute a corrective action plan, which addresses project issues and risks.
